This place is the bomb! The interior is lovely -- perfect for a business lunch or meeting friends, and I'm sure it's hopping at dinner time. But let's talk about the food -- all four of us raved about our orders! Chopped salad with a delicious homemade ranch; I added chicken, which was juicy and flavorful. My colleagues had the Cuban sandwich; Ribeye sandwich and the pesto shrimp risotto. All the portions were good sized, presented elegantly, and I was assured they were delicious. I messaged the restaurant ahead of time to check the gluten-free status of two salads; they were quick to respond, and the owner said he doubled checked with the chef and was assured they were. Hours later..... I know they took it seriously, because I did not get sick. I will return here every chance I get when I'm Chicago.

Just Loveeee the atmosphere here. The vibe was so trendy and chill. The service was just amazing. Our server was very polite, attentive and friendly. We were given a special fish dish to try which was super nice on restaurant's behalf. We started off with Tomato Bruschetta, Brussel sprouts and Potato Cheese Pierogi. Food was super fresh and delicious. There is plenty of parking on the street as well as near the train station. HIGH RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!! MUST TRY!!!!! 5 star food, service and ambience.

Stopped in for dinner when I was in town. The host was a little rude because we did not have a reservation. However, all other staff that we encountered on our visit were excellent. The manager even asked us if we were ok because we were seated near the door. I thought that was very nice. Our server explained the specials in detail. I ordered a full-size chopped salad with chicken. It was delicious. Cute little spot. I would recommend!

Last minute date night because the kids were sleeping over at their grandma's. We showed up about 45 minutes early for our reservation and the place was packed! Looked like there were a lot of HS kids from homecoming. Since there was no room at the bar to grab a drink either, we ended up going to another local spot near by while we waited. When we got back, the place was way less crowded and we were seated all the way in the back. The restaurant itself is much bigger than I expected since it goes so far back. Our waiter was a young guy, but he was super nice and we enjoyed our conversation with him. We ended up ordering both the french onion soup and mushroom soup because those two were my favorite and I couldn't make my mind up. Both were really good! My husband enjoyed whatever seafood dish they had that night while I got their short ribs pasta. Very flavorful and I ended up not being able to finish it all so we packed up some of it to go. Definitely a cute date spot, we will be back.

The atmosphere when walking into Barrel & Vine for the first time felt like being at a swanky restaurant in the city. Love the details that went into the design that make it feel luxe. Service was great and food came out pretty quick. I had high hopes for B&V based on other reviews. I ordered the sangria and while it was quite tasty, I don't think it was tasty enough for $13 a glass. The fig and Brie crostini was a delicious appetizer and a great start to the meal. We ordered churrasco, burrata pesto salad, and truffle fries for our mains, which were a little underwhelming but still good. I didn't know that the fries would be so large (portion and size-wise) and I wish they were a little skinnier. The truffle sauce was my favorite part and very flavorful. The burrata wasn't really creamy but the pesto was quite nice. The churrasco could have done with a little bit more seasoning but was still enjoyed. Great location in Lemont for a big city feel in a small town. Love how it's walkable to the other bars and shops so you can make a day or evening of coming here.

Due to a mistake on our part, we had a last minute change of plans but we're able to make a same day reservation here. The staff was very accommodating, and were able to squeeze us in right before the dinner rush. Josie was our server and she was just a joy from the beginning when we started joking with her and she played right back. We started with the bruschetta and my father ordered "the best" French onion soup he's ever had. Let's also take a minute to discuss their cocktails... they have a great list of alcohol to choose from, and I picked out the cool as a cucumber as it sounded like a localized Pimm's Cup. It was delish! A great way to start the meal. Dinner came quickly-- I ordered the hangar steak with chimichurri and curly "fries". So tender, so delicious, and so filling! I should've stopped halfway but it was too great to leave for later. We also ordered the chicken paprikash, seafood carbonara, and the salmon special. High compliments from all around the table. The only caution I can give, and it's about the space and not really controllable, is that since the space is hopping (as it should be) it can get very loud in there. I was with three older guests so it was hard for them to communicate/hear at times, and there was a lot of leaning in, but it wasn't unbearable, just limiting in our conversation. An absolutely great time all around and I can't wait until my next visit in town to come back.
